SEDGWICK...EASTERN RENO AND HARVEY COUNTIES...

AT 1117 AM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS
WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL ACROSS THE WARNED AREA. TWO TO THREE INCHES
OF RAIN HAVE ALREADY FALLEN...HEAVIEST OVER FAR NORTHWEST SEDGWICK
AND SOUTHWEST HARVEY COUNTIES...BETWEEN MOUNT HOPE AND BURRTON...AND
BETWEEN MOUNT HOPE AND HALSTEAD.

SOME LOCATIONS THAT MAY EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
HUTCHINSON...NEWTON...PARK CITY...VALLEY CENTER...HESSTON...
SOUTH HUTCHINSON...HALSTEAD...NORTH NEWTON...SEDGWICK...BUHLER...
HAVEN...NICKERSON...BURRTON...MOUNT HOPE...WHITEWATER...
PRETTY PRAIRIE...BENTLEY...PARTRIDGE...WALTON AND YODER.

ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS UP TO TWO INCHES ARE POSSIBLE IN THE
WARNED AREA THROUGH EARLY AFTERNOON.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL MAY CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...AS WELL AS STREETS...HIGHWAYS AND UNDERPASSES
IN URBAN AREAS. ADDITIONALLY...COUNTRY ROADS AND FARMLANDS ALONG THE
BANKS OF CREEKS...STREAMS AND OTHER LOW LYING AREAS ARE SUBJECT TO
FLOODING.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.

YOUR REPORT TO THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE FORECAST OFFICE.
