THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF CENTRAL KANSAS...
SOUTH CENTRAL KANSAS AND SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

DANGEROUS HEAT INDICES ARE EXPECTED FOR THIS AFTERNOON AND EARLY
EVENING...HEAT INDICES FROM 105 TO 112 DEGREES ARE LIKELY FOR ALL
AREAS. PLEASE REFER TO THE LATEST HEAT ADVISORY AND WARNING
STATEMENTS FOR MORE DETAILS.

THUNDERSTORMS WILL AFFECT PORTIONS OF SOUTHEAST KANSAS EARLY THIS
MORNING WITH A FEW STRONG STORMS POSSIBLE. OTHERWISE MORE
THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO RE-DEVELOP OVER SOUTHWEST NEBRASKA
AND WESTERN KANSAS LATER TODAY. SOME OF THESE STORMS WILL MOVE
INTO CENTRAL KANSAS TONIGHT...WITH A FEW STRONG TO SEVERE STORMS
POSSIBLE WITH GUSTY WINDS AROUND 60 MPH THE MAIN RISK.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY

HEAT INDICES FROM 100 TO 105 DEGREES ARE LIKELY FOR MOST AREAS
EACH AFTERNOON FROM SATURDAY THRU TUESDAY.

SMALL CHANCES FOR THUNDERSTORMS WILL EXIST THIS WEEKEND FOR MAINLY
CENTRAL KANSAS. A FEW STRONG STORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE WITH WIND
GUSTS AROUND 50 MPH AND NICKEL SIZE HAIL.

STORM CHANCES WILL INCREASE TUESDAY NIGHT THROUGH THURSDAY AS A
WEAK FRONT SLIDES SOUTHWARD INTO THE AREA. A FEW STRONG STORMS
WILL BE POSSIBLE.
