THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF CENTRAL KANSAS...
SOUTH CENTRAL KANSAS AND SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

SCATTERED STORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE THIS MORNING FOR LOCATIONS ALONG AND
EAST OF INTERSTATE 135 AND FOR ONLY SOUTHEAST KANSAS THIS
AFTERNOON. THE STRONGER STORMS WILL BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING 40
MPH WINDS.

VERY HIGH GRASSLAND FIRE DANGER WILL BE IN PLACE THIS AFTERNOON
FOR ALL OF CENTRAL AND SOUTH CENTRAL KANSAS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY

VERY HIGH GRASSLAND FIRE DANGER WILL BE IN PLACE FOR CENTRAL AND
SOUTH CENTRAL KANSAS FOR FRIDAY AFTERNOON AND AREA WIDE ON
SATURDAY AND SUNDAY WITH STRONG SOUTH WINDS EXPECTED THROUGH THIS
TIME PERIOD. IT IS POSSIBLE THAT THE GRASSLAND FIRE DANGER MAY
REACH EXTREME VALUES ON SATURDAY AFTERNOON ALONG AND WEST OF
HIGHWAY 14.

A FEW STORMS ARE POSSIBLE LATE FRIDAY NIGHT OVER SOUTHEAST KANSAS
WITH STRONG STORMS POSSIBLE. THERE WILL BE A CHANCE FOR STORMS TO
DEVELOP ALONG A DRYLINE LATE SATURDAY AFTERNOON INTO EARLY
SATURDAY EVENING. THE DRYLINE IS EXPECTED TO BE ALONG OR WEST
OF HIGHWAY 14. ANY STORM THAT CAN DEVELOP WILL QUICKLY BECOME
SEVERE WITH THE POTENTIAL TO PRODUCE VERY LARGE HAIL...DAMAGING
WINDS AND TORNADOES. AREAS ALONG AND WEST OF INTERSTATE 135 WOULD
HAVE THE HIGHEST CHANCE TO EXPERIENCE SEVERE STORMS LATE SATURDAY
AFTERNOON THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT HOURS.

THE DRYLINE WILL SURGE EAST ON SUNDAY AND WILL BE SITUATED ALONG OR
JUST EAST OF INTERSTATE 135 BY THE AFTERNOON HOURS. STORMS WILL
DEVELOP ALONG THIS FEATURE AND WILL QUICKLY BECOME SEVERE WITH
LOCATIONS ALONG AND ESPECIALLY EAST OF INTERSTATE 135 HAVING THE
BEST CHANCE TO EXPERIENCE SEVERE STORMS SUNDAY AFTERNOON AND EARLY
EVENING. LARGE HAIL...DAMAGING WINDS AND TORNADOES WILL BE
POSSIBLE WITH THE STRONGER STORMS.
