This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of Central Kansas,
South Central Kansas and Southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

A few thunderstorms may develop along a stalled frontal boundary for
locations east of the Kansas Turnpike late this afternoon and
evening. The strongest storms may produce nickel sized hail and
strong winds to 55 mph.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday

On Thursday, south winds increasing to 20 to 30 mph with higher
gusts will send temperatures into the 90s once again. This will
result in a very high grassland fire danger for areas along and west
of highway 14 on Thursday afternoon.

Thunderstorm chances will increase early next week. There may be a potential
for multiple rounds of thunderstorms with an accompanying risk of severe
weather and locally heavy rain.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not anticipated today or tonight.
