SOUTH CENTRAL KANSAS AND SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

DANGEROUS HEAT INDICES ARE EXPECTED TO CONTINUE EARLY THIS EVENING
FOR AREAS GENERALLY ALONG AND EAST OF INTERSTATE 135.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY

THE HOT AND HUMID WEATHER WILL CONTINUE TO BUILD ACROSS THE
REGION THROUGH FRIDAY. AFTERNOON HEAT INDICES OF 100 TO 105 ARE
EXPECTED EACH DAY. IN PARTICULAR...WEDNESDAY THROUGH FRIDAY
EVENING LOOK TO BE THE DAYS WHEN THE WORST HEAT WILL DEVELOP. WITH
THE PROLONGED HEAT EXPECTED...REMEMBER TO NEVER LEAVE PASSENGERS
BEHIND IN PARKED VEHICLES...AVOID STRENUOUS OUTDOOR
ACTIVITIES...AND STAY HYDRATED!

PERIODIC THUNDERSTORM CHANCES WILL RETURN LATER THIS WEEK AND
WEEKEND AS A FRONTAL BOUNDARY DROPS SOUTH ACROSS THE REGION.
