This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of Central Kansas,
South Central Kansas and Southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday

Very high to potentially extreme grassland fire danger is forecast
for most areas from midday Thursday through Friday afternoon. The
greatest potential for an elevated fire risk will be over Central
Kansas for Thursday afternoon.

There will be multiple chances for thunderstorms across the region
from Thursday evening through Monday.

Some strong storms and a few severe storms are possible, on
Thursday night along and west of highway 14. Dime size hail and
damaging downburst winds are the main concern.

A line of strong to severe storms are also possible on Friday
afternoon and evening for areas east of Interstate 135. Hail up to
quarter size and wind gusts to 60 mph are the main concern.

Embedded thunderstorms are also possible Sunday evening across
South Central Kansas, especially near the Oklahoma border. But
these are not expected to be strong or severe.


Spotter activation is not anticipated today or tonight.
