A few showers affected southeast Kansas last night otherwise the
region remained quiet during the overnight hours. Predawn
temperatures were in the 50s with light northeast winds.

A upper level weather system will move eastward into western
Nebraska late today. Showers and storms will develop over western
sections of Nebraska and Kansas with some of them becoming severe.
Daytime highs will range from the 50s in northern Nebraska to the
upper 70s in central Oklahoma.

A cold front will push southward across the central plains tonight
and bring numerous showers and storms to the region. A few of the
storms could reach severe limits over western and parts of central
Kansas tonight. Overnight lows will range from the cold upper 20s
in western Nebraska, to the mild low 60s in central Oklahoma.
