  WESTERN MONTGOMERY COUNTY IN SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS...

* UNTIL 715 PM CDT

* AT 636 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE METEOROLOGISTS WERE
  TRACKING A STRONG THUNDERSTORM NEAR ELK CITY...OR 8 MILES
  NORTHWEST OF INDEPENDENCE. ANOTHER STRONG THUNDERSTORM WAS LOCATED
  JUST NORTHEAST OF CANEY. THESE STORMS WERE NEARLY STATIONARY.

PEA TO DIME SIZE HAIL...AND WIND GUSTS UP TO 50 MPH WILL BE POSSIBLE
WITH THESE STORMS.

* LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE...
  INDEPENDENCE...CANEY...ELK CITY...TYRO...HAVANA...BOLTON...
  SYCAMORE...ELK CITY STATE PARK...
  INDEPENDENCE AIRPORT AND ELK CITY LAKE.
