...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN COWLEY AND
SOUTHEASTERN SUMNER COUNTIES THROUGH 815 PM CDT...

At 739 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
South Haven, or 15 miles east of Caldwell, moving northeast at 30
mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Arkansas City, Winfield, Wellington, Oxford, South Haven, Geuda
Springs, Hunnewell, and Strother Field Airport.

This includes Interstate 35 between Mile Markers 1 and 20.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for south central
Kansas.
