Flood Statement
National Weather Service Indianapolis IN
1052 PM EDT Fri Apr 12 2024

...The Flood Warning continues for the following river and locations
in Indiana...

White River from Anderson downstream to Hazleton, except at
  Indianapolis.

...The Flood Warning is cancelled for the following river and
location in Indiana...

  White River at Muncie.

.Rainfall of 2 inches to over 4 inches fell over central Indiana
over the last few days. This is bringing most creeks and streams out
of their banks and producing minor to moderate flooding along rivers
and streams in central Indiana.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Flooding is occurring or is imminent. Most flood related deaths
occur in automobiles. Do not attempt to cross water covered bridges,
dips, or low water crossings. Never try to cross a flowing stream,
even a small one, on foot. To escape rising water find another route
over higher ground.

Additional information is available at www.weather.gov/ind.

The next statement should be issued late tonight by around midnight
EDT /1100 PM CDT/.
