Fire Weather Planning Forecast For Extreme Southeast Arkansas,
Northeast Louisiana, and Central Mississippi
National Weather Service Jackson MS
303 AM CDT Sat May 11 2024

.DISCUSSION...
No significant fog development is anticipated this morning or
Sunday morning. Dry weather & seasonable temperatures are
expected this afternoon. Rain chances return Sunday afternoon
ahead of the first of two low pressure systems to affect the
region next week. Rainfall amounts could total two to four inches
between Sunday night & Tuesday with the higher amounts across the
southern districts. Dry weather is expected Tuesday night through
Wednesday but the next system could drop two to three additional
inches between early Thursday through Friday with the higher
amounts over the southern districts again. Other than lower
humidity today, increased humidity & widespread rain will lead to
wet fuels & limit any concerns for fire danger.
