...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 645 PM CDT
FOR SOUTH CENTRAL MIDLAND AND NORTH CENTRAL UPTON COUNTIES...
At 623 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 14 miles south of
Midland International Air and Space Port, or 15 miles southeast of
Odessa, moving northeast at 15 mph.
HAZARD...Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind
damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of south
central Midland and north central Upton Counties.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for western
Texas.
