608 FNUS55 KPUB 290954 FWFPUB Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado National Weather Service Pueblo Co 354 AM MDT Mon Apr 29 2024 .Discussion... A few snow showers will be possible this afternoon over the central mountains, otherwise it will be dry across the district. Temperatures will be on a warming trend during the first half of the week with drier conditions returning. Winds will increase out of the southwest with drier air moving in and critical fire weather conditions as a result over the San Luis Valley for the afternoon hours on Tuesday. There will be critical fire weather conditions again for the San Luis Valley on Wednesday as RH values further drop down to 9 percent, as well as portions of the southeastern plains during the afternoon and early evening hours. There will be chances of precipitation over portions of the district on Wednesday through Thursday, mainly northern areas and plains. There will also be critical fire weather conditions yet again for the San Luis Valley on Thursday, and again on Friday, although it will be more spotty. On Friday through Sunday, there will also be another quick shot of precipitation for some areas, and only spotty areas of critical fire weather criteria on Friday, but then returning for the San Luis Valley and portions of the plains on Sunday. Smoke dispersion will be overall Very Good to Excellent today across the district. It will become Poor by later this evening and through the night, and then return to being generally Very Good to Excellent again for most areas tomorrow. --- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds --- COZ220-292215- Upper Arkansas River Valley Including Lake County and Chaffee County- 354 AM MDT Mon Apr 29 2024 .TODAY...
