MOORE...SAMPSON...HARNETT... CUMBERLAND...LEE...WAKE...WESTERN
JOHNSTON...HOKE...SOUTHERN DURHAM AND EASTERN CHATHAM COUNTIES
THROUGH 1015 AM EDT...

At 904 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking an area of dissipating
rain and following very strong wind gusts along a line extending
from Aberdeen to Lumberton. Movement was northeast at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Raleigh, Durham, Fayetteville, Cary, Chapel Hill, Sanford, Southern
Pines, Smithfield, Clinton, and Raeford.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

To report wind damage, contact your nearest law enforcement agency.
They will relay your report to the National Weather Service office
in Raleigh.
