...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 AM CDT SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of southwest Missouri, including the following
  county, Douglas.

* WHEN...Until 100 AM CDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 444 PM CDT, Trained weather spotters reported heavy rain
    in the warned area due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing
    or expected to begin shortly.
  - Water rescue was underway near PP Highway and Cowskin Creek.
    Additional rainfall around an inch is still expected through
    this evening.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Ava, Goodhope and Rome.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
