The National Weather Service in Springfield has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Bourbon County in southeastern Kansas...
  Northern Crawford County in southeastern Kansas...

* Until 1045 PM CDT.

* At 947 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from 11 miles north of Erie to near Walnut to near St.
  Paul, moving northeast at 50 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Fort Scott, Marmaton, Bronson, Uniontown, Walnut, Fulton, Redfield,
  Hepler, Mapleton, Harding, Pawnee Station, Hiattville, Petersburg,
  Farlington, Hammond, Brazilton, Devon, Garland, and Porterville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
