.DISCUSSION...High pressure will remain in place today resulting in
mostly clear skies and dry conditions along with gusty west/southwest winds,
but a cold front will be moving into northern and central Utah this
evening. This front is expected to make it roughly to Beaver or
northern Iron county before stalling. This would leave the spot location
dry with westerly gusty winds during the day with weakening winds overnight.

It`s worth noting that ~40% of guidance does have the front getting
slightly further south and approaching the Zion area just after sunset.
This front is pretty dry but high-based convection will be possible.
Little in the way of precipitation reaching the ground, but gusty
outflow winds from nearby storms will be the main threat in addition to a
shift to more northerly winds behind the front. These
high-based storms will fizzle out overnight. This front is expected to
retreat further north on Saturday, but can`t rule out a stray storm
developing during the afternoon if the front is slow to shift north.
As the front retreats further north on Saturday winds will transition to
more of a southwesterly component with gusts near 20 mph remaining.

Again, it`s most likely this front will stay north of the location resulting
in dry and breezy conditions.
