...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 745 PM CDT
FOR GEARY...RILEY...NORTHWESTERN MORRIS...WEST CENTRAL WABAUNSEE...
WESTERN POTTAWATOMIE...SOUTHEASTERN WASHINGTON...NORTHEASTERN CLAY
AND SOUTHWESTERN MARSHALL COUNTIES...

At 724 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 6 miles north of Green to 5 miles southwest of Keats
to 6 miles north of White City, moving east at 50 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Trained weather spotters. At 720 PM, a trained spotter
         reported wind gusts of 70 mph 5NW of Junction City.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
         tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
         roofs, and outbuildings.

Locations impacted include...
Manhattan, Junction City, Ogden, Grandview Plaza, Riley, Waterville,
Milford, Leonardville, Olsburg, Randolph, Green, Milford Lake, Keats,
and Tuttle Creek Lake.

This includes Interstate 70 between mile markers 294 and 319.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for north
central, northeastern and east central Kansas.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
