.SUMMARY...
THOUGH TEMPERATURES FOR THE SEASON WERE ABOVE AVERAGE, IT WAS STILL THE
COOLEST FALL IN THREE YEARS. THIS FALL INCLUDED THE EARLIEST SNOWFALL ON
RECORD. RAINFALL WAS SEVERELY LACKING.

.SEASONAL TEMPERATURES...
THE AVERAGE HIGH TEMPERATURE WAS THE COOLEST SINCE 2015. THE AVERAGE LOW,
AND THE AVERAGE SEASONAL TEMPERATURES WERE THE COOLEST SINCE 2014. EVEN SO,
THE AVERAGE HIGH WAS THE 7TH WARMEST ON RECORD. THE AVERAGE LOW AS THE 10TH
WARMEST ON RECORD. THE AVERAGE SEASONAL TEMPERATURE WAS THE 9TH WARMEST ON
RECORD.

THERE WERE 14 DAYS WITH HIGH TEMPERATURES OF 90 DEGREES OR HIGHER, WHICH WAS
THE EXACT SAME AS 2016. THERE WAS ONLY ONE DAY WITH A TEMPERATURE AT OR BELOW
FREEZING.

THE FIRST FREEZE WAS ON NOVEMBER 23RD, WHICH WAS THE EARLIEST SINCE 2015.

.SEASONAL RAINFALL...
THERE WERE 13 DAYS WITH MEASURABLE RAINFALL. HOWEVER, IT WAS SIGNIFICANTLY
BELOW AVERAGE, WITH A DEFICIT FOR THE SEASON OF OVER 11 INCHES. IT
WAS THE DRIER THAN LAST YEAR, AND SET A NEW RECORD FOR THE DRIEST
FALL SEASON.

.SEASONAL SNOWFALL...
SNOW FELL FOR THE FIRST TIME DURING THE FALL SEASON SINCE 2014, AS A TRACE
OF SLEET WAS RECORDED ON THE EVENING OF OCTOBER 27TH. THOUGH IT WAS NOT
MEASURABLE, IT STILL WAS THE EARLIEST SNOWFALL AT NORTH LITTLE ROCK SINCE 1993,
AND SET A NEW RECORD FOR THE EARLIEST SNOWFALL EVER RECORDED AT NORTH LITTLE ROCK.
PREVIOUSLY, THE RECORD HAD BEEN A TRACE, WHICH FELL ON OCTOBER 29, 1993.
