COASTAL WATERS FORECAST
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MEDFORD, OR
232 PM PDT FRI APR 18 2014

COASTAL WATERS FROM FLORENCE OREGON TO POINT ST. GEORGE CALIFORNIA
AND WESTWARD 60 NM.

PZZ300-190400-
232 PM PDT FRI APR 18 2014

.SYNOPSIS FOR THE SOUTHERN OREGON COASTAL WATERS...WEAK HIGH
PRESSURE WILL SLIDE ACROSS THE WATERS THIS EVENING CAUSING NORTH
WINDS TO DIMINISH. WINDS WILL THEN SHIFT TO SOUTH AND INCREASE
LATE TONIGHT AS A FRONT APPROACHES. MODERATE SOUTH WINDS AND WIND
DRIVEN SEAS WILL DEVELOP OVER THE WATERS SATURDAY AND THEN
DIMINISH SATURDAY NIGHT AS THE FRONT MOVES INLAND. HEAVY LONG
PERIOD WESTERLY SWELL WILL DEVELOP SATURDAY NIGHT AND CONTINUE
THROUGH SUNDAY...SUPPORTING HEAVY BREAKERS OVER BARS AND WITHIN
THE SURF ZONE. FISHING GEAR LOCATED IN SHALLOW WATER COULD BE
RELOCATED OR DAMAGED. SEAS WILL GRADUALLY SUBSIDE THROUGH EARLY
NEXT WEEK.
