Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central/Northern Vermont and
Northern New York
National Weather Service Burlington VT

...Dry Weather Continues Through Midweek...

.DISCUSSION...
A large area of high pressure will persist over the region through
the middle of this week. Other than the potential for a few
showers this afternoon over the Green Mountains...dry weather is
expected. Above normal temperatures are expected right through
Wednesday with more record highs expected to be set. Dew points
will be well into the 60s...which will result in afternoon
relative humidities in the 45 to 55 percent range with good
humidity recoveries at night. Winds will generally be under 10
miles per hour through midweek as well. An upper level trough of
low pressure will move into the region late Wednesday through
Thursday. This system will increase precipitation chances and
return temperatures to seasonal normals. This will be the first
chance in about two weeks where measure precipitation is expected.
