Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
258 PM EDT Sat May 27 2017

.DISCUSSION...With high pressure centered across northern Florida,
a frontal boundary will drop south across NC on Sunday and move
into the northern Midlands of SC on Monday. This will keep mostly
dry weather across the forecast area through Sunday, except for
a slight chance for afternoon and evening thunderstorms mainly
across the north. By Monday afternoon, scattered storms will be
possible across the entire area.

The pressure gradient will be weak enough for poor dispersion
from late this evening through early Sunday morning. Low-level
moisture will be minimal and no fog is expected.

Surface winds Sunday will be from the west-southwest around 5 mph
after daybreak, then increase to around 10 mph by afternoon.
Transport winds will be similar in direction at 10 to 15 mph.
Relative humidities will drop to around 45 percent.
