Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
308 PM EDT Mon Mar 27 2017

.DISCUSSION...Scattered showers and a few isolated thunderstorms
will be a threat through late Tuesday as several upper level
troughs interact with an increasingly warm and moist airmass...
then a weak front moves through Tuesday night bringing slightly
drier air into the forecast area. The N. Midlands and Pee Dee
will receive strongest thunder where energy aloft will be highest.
Elsewhere, rainfall will be extremely spotty and generally light.
A weak breeze tonight will generally keep widespread dense fog
from forming...although sheltered areas may see some light fog
forming toward sunrise. Highest winds should occur Tuesday ahead
of and behind the cold front.
