FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR CENTRAL SOUTH CAROLINA
AND EAST CENTRAL GEORGIA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE COLUMBIA SC
259 PM EDT SUN SEP 25 2016

.DISCUSSION...A WEAK COLD FRONTAL BOUNDARY WILL SLOWLY APPROACH
FROM THE NORTH LATE TODAY...AND BECOME STATIONARY OVER OR JUST
SOUTH OF THE FORECAST AREA BY MONDAY MORNING. WITH LIMITED
MOISTURE IN PLACE...ONLY WIDELY SCATTERED OR ISOLATED SHOWERS
AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED AHEAD OF THE FRONT. INCREASING
ATLANTIC MOISTURE WILL SUPPORT A BETTER CHANCE FOR SHOWERS AND
POSSIBLE THUNDERSTORMS MONDAY AND TUESDAY...ESPECIALLY DURING
THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING HOURS.

WITH A WEAK PRESSURE GRADIENT IN PLACE...POOR DISPERSION IS
EXPECTED THIS EVENING THROUGH EARLY MONDAY MORNING. LOW-LEVEL
MOISTURE AND THE FRONTAL BOUNDARY WILL CAUSE CLOUDS TO INCREASE
OVERNIGHT...WILL AREAS OF MAINLY LIGHT FOG.

SURFACE WINDS MONDAY WILL BE FROM THE EAST-NORTHEAST LESS THAN
5 MPH AFTER DAYBREAK...THEN BECOME EAST-SOUTHEAST AT 5 TO 10 MPH
BY AFTERNOON. TRANSPORT WINDS WILL BE SIMILAR. RELATIVE
HUMIDITIES WILL GENERALLY REMAIN NEAR OR HIGHER THAN 50 PERCENT.
