FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR CENTRAL SOUTH CAROLINA
AND EAST CENTRAL GEORGIA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE COLUMBIA SC
240 PM EST WED MAR 4 2015

.DISCUSSION...STRONG WARM ADVECTION IS OCCURRING AS A WARM
FRONT HAS LIFTED NORTH THROUGH THE AREA. SOUTHERLY TO
SOUTHWESTERLY WINDS OF 25 TO 35 MPH WILL PRODUCE VERY WARM
TEMPERATURES AND FAVORABLE MIXING HEIGHTS ABOVE 4000 FT.
BREEZY CONDITIONS WILL DIMINISH AFTER SUNSET. EVEN WITH
THE GUSTY WINDS RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES REMAIN ABOVE
CRITICAL LEVELS, WITH MIN VALUES DROPPING DOWN TO 45-50
PERCENT. EXPECT CLOUD COVER TO INCREASE OVER THE EVENING
WITH MIXING HEIGHTS DROPPING TO BELOW 1000 FT. SOME LIGHT
FOG IS POSSIBLE IN PATCHY LOW-LYING AND SHELTERED AREAS.

SHOWERS WILL ACCOMPANY A PASSING COLD FRONT ON THURSDAY WITH
A SIGNIFICANT WIND SHIFT FROM SOUTHWEST TO NORTHERLY BEHIND
THE FRONT.
