FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR NORTHERN ALABAMA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HUNTSVILLE AL
342 AM CDT TUE JUN 30 2015

.DISCUSSION...
UNSETTLED WEATHER SHOULD CONTINUE ACROSS NORTHERN ALABAMA
THROUGH THE MID WEEK. A PERSISTENT NORTHWESTERLY FLOW ALOFT
WILL RESULT IN VARIOUS UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCES PASSING
ACROSS THE REGION. THESE DISTURBANCES...INTERACTING IN A
MOIST AND UNSTABLE ATMOSPHERE WILL LEAD TO A GOOD CHANCE OF
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS FOR THE REGION. THE STRONGER
STORMS WILL BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING GUSTY WINDS...LOCALLY
HEAVY RAINFALL AND FREQUENT LIGHTNING. REPETITIVE EPISODES
OF RAIN ON AN INCREASINGLY WET GROUND...COULD LEAD TO WATER
RUNOFF ISSUES AND A POTENTIAL OF FLOODING.

THE BEST CHANCES FOR WETTING RAIN AFFECTING THE AREA IS
EXPECTED DURING WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY. RAIN CHANCES SHOULD
DIMINISH SOMEWHAT FOR THE UPCOMING 4TH OF JULY HOLIDAY WEEKEND.
SOME CHANCES OF DAILY SHOWER AND THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY IS
EXPECTED INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK.
