.DISCUSSION...

Warm temperatures and dry conditions will continue across
the region today, although moderately strong south-
southwest winds will begin to draw low-level moisture
northward late this afternoon. Regardless of this, afternoon
temperatures in the lower/mid 80s will support RH in the
35-45% range. An increasingly humid airmass will continue
to overspread the TN Valley tonight, and this will translate
to a few afternoon thunderstorms on Saturday. Although the
coverage of storms is expected to be rather low, any that do
develop could become severe rather quickly. Showers and
storms will become more numerous late Saturday night and
early Sunday morning, with this activity also having a high
potential to produce severe wind and hail. A slow-moving cold
front is expected to push southeastward over the region on
Sunday night and Monday morning, bringing a final round of
storms -- which could produce locally heavy rainfall. High
pressure will settle into the region in the wake of the front,
bringing a drier airmass and lighter winds during the mid-week
period. However, rain chances will increase once again by
Thursday.

Fog potential over the next few days: Low...mainly due to
persistent elevated southwesterly winds tonight and Saturday
night, and widespread rain/thunderstorms Sunday night.

Potential for Red Flag Conditions: None at this time.
