Fire Weather Planning Forecast For Extreme Southeast Arkansas,
Northeast Louisiana, and Central Mississippi

.DISCUSSION...Strong southerly winds are expected across the area
today, especially through the Delta region where sustained 20
foot wind speeds of 20 to 25 mph and gusts up to 40 mph will be
possible. Then thunderstorms are expected across the forecast area
tonight as a cold front sweeps through. Drier and less windy
conditions are expected through Friday. Widespread fog development
is not anticipated, but patchy fog could return to southern
portions of the forecast area by Friday morning. /NF/
