FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR THE MIDSOUTH
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MEMPHIS TN
432 AM CST SUN MAR 1 2015

.DISCUSSION...

SCATTERED SHOWERS CAN BE EXPECTED TODAY ACROSS THE MIDSOUTH...WITH A
LIGHT WINTRY MIX POSSIBLE IN THE NORTH THIS MORNING. TEMPERATURES
WILL BE SLIGHTLY WARMER WITH HIGHS RANGING FROM THE MID 40S TO MID
50S. TONIGHT A WEAK COLD FRONT WILL PASS THROUGH...BUT CLOUDS AND
LINGERING SHOWERS WILL PERSIST THROUGH TOMORROW.

THE FRONT WILL SURGE NORTH AS A WARM FRONT MONDAY NIGHT AND TUESDAY.
STRONG SOUTH WINDS WILL DRIVE MILDER WEATHER INTO THE REGION WITH A
CONTINUED THREAT FOR SHOWERS...AND A FEW THUNDERSTORMS. AS A MIDWEST
STORM SLIDES INTO THE OHIO VALLEY WEDNESDAY...ARCTIC AIR WILL SPREAD
OVER THE OZARKS AND MIDSOUTH. PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED TO CHANGE
OVER TO A WINTRY MIX DURING THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING HOURS WITH
SOME ACCUMULATIONS POSSIBLE. GUSTY NORTH WINDS WILL DROP WINDCHILLS
INTO THE TEENS. BELOW NORMAL TEMPERATURES WILL REMAIN FIXED OVER THE
MIDSOUTH THROUGH THE REMAINDER OF THE WEEK.
