FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UPPER MICHIGAN
National Weather Service Marquette MI
540 AM EDT Mon Aug 21 2017

...SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS LATER TODAY AND TONIGHT...

.DISCUSSION: Showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop
later this afternoon and evening across southwest portions of
Upper Michigan, before becoming widespread and lifting across the
central and east tonight. As the frontal boundary responsible for
the showers and storms pushes east across the area overnight,
lingering showers will vacate the east through the morning hours
on Tuesday. Behind the front, a cool down is expected through the
middle of the week, with afternoon highs only expected to climb
into the 60s across Upper Michigan by Wednesday. By the end of the
week temperatures will modify back up into the low 70s. Otherwise,
mostly dry conditions are expected to prevail through the end of
the week with only a slight chance for afternoon showers on
Wednesday across the north central and east.
