FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UPPER MICHIGAN
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MARQUETTE MI
514 AM EDT WED APR 23 2014

...DRY WITH NEAR TO SLIGHTLY BELOW NORMAL TEMPERATURES TODAY...

.DISCUSSION...HIGH PRESSURE ACROSS THE UPPER GREAT LAKES WILL SHIFT
EAST TO CANADA AND THE LOWER GREAT LAKES ON THURSDAY. THIS WILL MAKE
WAY FOR A LATE SEASON WINTER WEATHER SYSTEM IN THE FORM OF LOW
PRESSURE STRETCHING FROM SOUTHERN SASKATCHEWAN TO IOWA AT DAYBREAK
THURSDAY TO PUSH ACROSS THE UPPER GREAT LAKES THURSDAY NIGHT THROUGH
FRIDAY. THE LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL EXIT TO OUR EAST LATE FRIDAY
AFTERNOON. LARGE HIGH PRESSURE OVER CENTRAL CANADA ON FRIDAY WILL
PUSH ACROSS HUDSON BAY SATURDAY...WHERE IT WILL REMAIN THROUGH
SUNDAY. EXPECT A RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE EXTENDING SOUTHWARD ACROSS
UPPER MICHIGAN FRIDAY NIGHT TO STRENGTHEN ON SATURDAY...AND LINGER
INTO SUNDAY.
