FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR MIDDLE TENNESSEE
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NASHVILLE TN
545 AM CST THU JAN 19 2017

.DISCUSSION...
SFC LOW WILL WORK NORTHEASTWARD ACROSS WESTERN MIDDLE TN THIS
EVENING. AS STRONG UPPER LEVEL SHORTWAVE ENERGY MERGES WITH THE AREA
OF STRONGER FORCING...RAINFALL AMOUNTS WILL PICK UP. EXPECT 1 TO 2
INCH RAINFALL TOTALS BY SUNRISE FRIDAY.

AFTER A BRIEF DRY PERIOD FRIDAY AND FRIDAY NIGHT...A SERIES OF STORM
SYSTEMS WILL BRING ADDITIONAL APPRECIABLE RAINFALL AMOUNTS. THE MOST
NOTABLE SYSTEM WILL OCCUR SUNDAY AND SUNDAY NIGHT AS A CLOSED UPPER
LEVEL LOW TRAVERSES THE DEEP SOUTH. THIS STRONGER SYSTEM WILL LIKELY
PRODUCE AN ADDITIONAL INCH OR SO OF RAINFALL.

THE REMAINDER OF THE EXTENDED LOOKS LIKE A CONTINUATION OF MILD
TEMPERATURES BUT DRIER.
