Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
326 PM MDT Tue Oct 17 2017

.Discussion...

Generally dry weather and above average temperatures are
expected over the district Thursday and Friday. An
approaching upper level disturbance will bring gusty
southwest winds and low RHs to the district Friday.
Conditions could climb to near critical levels. There
could be a few spotty afternoon or evening showers over
the mountains Thursday and Friday but nothing too
significant is expected.

On Saturday, a weak upper disturbance will track across
the area from the northwest. It will bring a cold front
through the district lowering temperatures back to near
average levels. Some model runs have suggested a few
showers will move through the district with the system
but others are backing off on this. The track of the
system doesn`t look very favorable for precipitation
at this point. Dry weather with gradually warming
temperatures can be expected Sunday into early next
week.

Afternoon ventilation rates will generally be poor to
fair over the district Wednesday. On Thursday, rates
will generally improve to good or better everywhere
except across the plains of the Arkansas River Valley
where rates will still be poor to fair.

--- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds ---
