...HEAVY SNOW AND STRONG GUSTY WINDS IN THE MOUNTAINS ON
WEDNESDAY...

A STRONG FRONT WILL BRING PRECIPITATION INTO THE
COAST BY THIS AFTERNOON WITH PRECIPITATION SPREADING INLAND THIS
EVENING THROUGH WEDNESDAY. HEAVY PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED IN
WESTERN AND SOUTH CENTRAL SISKIYOU COUNTIES TONIGHT AND WEDNESDAY.
STRONG GUSTY WINDS ARE ALSO EXPECTED OVER THE MOUNTAINS, IN THE
SHASTA VALLEY AND EAST OF THE CASCADES. SNOW LEVELS WILL REMAIN
HIGH OVER MUCH OF THE AREA TODAY INTO WEDNESDAY MORNING THEN WILL
LOWER LATE WEDNESDAY. HOWEVER, SNOW LEVELS WILL BE LOWER IN THE
MOUNT SHASTA AREA AND HEAVY SNOW IS EXPECTED DOWN TO VALLEY
FLOORS. SNOW LEVELS WILL ALSO BE LOWER IN EASTERN SISKIYOU AND
MODOC TONIGHT AND WEDNESDAY. A SLIGHT CHANCE OF FREEZING RAIN IS
EXPECTED EAST OF THE CASCADES AND NEAR MOUNT SHASTA. ANOTHER
STRONG FRONT IS EXPECTED LATE THIS WEEK.
