SPOT FORECAST FOR SOLITUDE
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SALT LAKE CITY UT

.DISCUSSION...TROUGH AXIS STRETCHING FROM CALIFORNIA INTO WESTERN
ARIZONA THIS MORNING WILL SWING NORTHWARD AND BE ACROSS CENTRAL
UTAH BY THIS EVENING. THE AIR MASS WILL MOISTEN AND DESTABILIZE AS
THIS TROUGH AXIS MOVES CLOSER. HOWEVER...THE INCREASED CLOUD COVER
WILL LIKELY INHIBIT THE AIR MASS FROM BECOMING TOO UNSTABLE SO THE
CURRENT THINKING IS THAT THERE WILL BE LIGHT SHOWERS OR SPRINKLES
THIS MORNING AND ONLY IF SOME BREAKS OCCUR IN THE CLOUD SHILED
WILL THUNDERSTORMS FORM THIS AFTERNOON. THEREFORE THE CHANCE OF
WETTING RAIN HAS NOW BEEN LOWERED TO ABOUT 20-25 PERCENT TODAY
THROUGH THIS EVENING. DRYING WILL FOLLOW IN THE WAKE OF THIS
DISTURBANCE ON MONDAY WITH WESTERLY WINDS INCREASING IN THE
AFTERNOON TO 12-16 MPH WITH GUSTS OVER 20 MPH POSSIBLE.

TUESDAY WILL BE DRIER AND SOUTHWEST WINDS ARE EXPECTED BUT A
LITTLE WEAKER THAN WHAT IS EXPECTED MONDAY. SOUTHWEST WINDS WILL
INCREASE WEDNESDAY TO 12-18 MPH WITH GUSTS INTO THE MID TO UPPER
20S POSSIBLE. RH LEVELS WILL LOWER INTO THE MID TEENS
TUESDAY...WEDNESDAY...AND THURSDAY AFTERNOONS.

SOME MOISTURE IS EXPECTED TO ARRIVE ON FRIDAY AND LINGER INTO
SATURDAY BUT AT THIS TIME IT LOOKS TO BE ISOLATED TYPE OF SHOWERS
AND THUNDERSTORMS.
