A DEEPENING LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM MOVING NORTH THROUGH THE CENTRAL
GREAT LAKES ON WEDNESDAY AND INTO ONTARIO ON THURSDAY WILL BRING A
PERIOD OF MIXED PRECIPITATION CHANGING TO SNOW. DEPENDING ON THE
TRACK OF THIS LOW...SOME LOCATIONS IN UPPER MICHIGAN MAY SEE
SIGNIFICANT SNOW THAT COULD DISRUPT HOLIDAY TRAVEL. IN ADDITION...
NORTH TO NORTHWEST WINDS LATE ON WEDNESDAY INTO CHRISTMAS DAY COULD
GUST AS HIGH AS 45 TO 50 MPH...ESPECIALLY NEAR LAKE SUPERIOR. ALONG
THE LAKE SUPERIOR SHORE...WAVES WHIPPED UP BY THESE STRONG WINDS MAY
REACH AS HIGH AS 14 TO 17 FEET AND CAUSE SOME BEACH EROSION AND
FLOODING...MAINLY ON THURSDAY IN AREAS EXPOSED TO NORTHWEST WINDS.
STAY TUNED TO LATER FORECASTS AS THERE IS STILL A GOOD DEAL OF
UNCERTAINTY ON THE EVENTUAL TRACK AND INTENSITY OF THIS LOW PRESSURE
