A MARINE WEATHER STATEMENT HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR THE FOLLOWING
AREAS...COASTAL WATERS FROM THE VOLUSIA BREVARD COUNTY LINE TO COCOA
BEACH OUT 10 NM...

AT 334 PM EDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A BAND OF STRONG
THUNDERSTORMS FROM NEAR HAULOVER CANAL TO SCOTTSMOOR AND INLAND TO
LAKE HARNEY...MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 10 TO 15 KNOTS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MARINERS CAN EXPECT STORMS TO INCREASE IN COVERAGE AND INTENSITY AS
THEY DROP SOUTHEASTWARD ACROSS THE CAPE CANAVERAL AREA. BOATERS
SHOULD BE PREPARED TO SEEK SAFE HARBOR.

THESE THUNDERSTORMS COULD PRODUCE WINDS 30 TO 35 KNOTS...AND COULD
POSE A SERIOUS HAZARD FOR BOATERS. A SPECIAL MARINE WARNING MAY
EVENTUALLY BE REQUIRED. BOATERS SHOULD CONSIDER HEADING FOR SHORE
BEFORE THE STORMS ARRIVE.
