.WARM MOIST AIR MOVING OVER THE COOLER SHELF WATERS HAS PRODUCED
WIDESPREAD SEA FOG ACROSS THE UPPER TEXAS COASTAL WATERS AND
ADJACENT BAYS. THIS ADVISORY MAY NEED TO BE EXTENDED IN DURATION
AS THE THREAT OF FOG WILL NOT GO AWAY UNTIL THE NEXT COLD FRONT
PUSHES THROUGH THE WATERS WEDNESDAY EVENING. STRONG OFFSHORE
WINDS ARE EXPECTED IN THE WAKE OF THE FRONT WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND
THURSDAY.

* WINDS...SHIFTING TO THE NORTH 25 TO 30 KNOTS WITH FREQUENT GUSTS
  TO GALE FORCE WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND THURSDAY MORNING.

* BAY WATERS...BECOMING VERY ROUGH AFTER THE WIND SHIFT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MARINERS SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR SUDDEN CHANGES IN VISIBILITY OVER
SHORT DISTANCES. REDUCE YOUR SPEED AND KEEP A LOOKOUT FOR OTHER
VESSELS...BUOYS AND BREAKWATERS. KEEP YOUR NAVIGATION LIGHTS ON.
INEXPERIENCED MARINERS...ESPECIALLY THOSE OPERATING SMALLER CRAFT
OR NOT EQUIPPED WITH RADAR...SHOULD CONSIDER SEEKING SAFE HARBOR.

A GALE WATCH IS ISSUED WHEN THE RISK OF GALE FORCE WINDS OF 34 TO
47 KNOTS HAS SIGNIFICANTLY INCREASED...BUT THE SPECIFIC TIMING
AND/OR LOCATION IS STILL UNCERTAIN. IT IS INTENDED TO PROVIDE
ADDITIONAL LEAD TIME FOR MARINERS WHO MAY WISH TO CONSIDER
