...BLOWING DUST CREATING SHARPLY REDUCED VISIBILITIES AT TIMES
EXPECTED LATE THIS AFTERNOON INTO THE EVENING...

.A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL IMPACT THE NORTHWESTERN PARTS OF THE
AREA LATE THIS AFTERNOON CONTINUING QUICKLY SOUTH OR SOUTHEAST
ACROSS THE REMAINDER OF THE AREA BEFORE MIDNIGHT. THE COMBINATION
OF ISOLATED TO SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WHICH COULD PRODUCE GUSTY
OUTFLOW WINDS...STRONG PRESSURE RISES BEHIND THE FRONT AND AN OVERALL
LACK OF PRECIPITATION RECENTLY WILL CREATE AREAS OF BLOWING DUST.
VISIBILITIES ARE EXPECTED TO FALL BELOW ONE MILE AT TIMES AND
COULD BE LOWER.

AFTERNOON TO MIDNIGHT MDT /1 AM CDT/ TONIGHT...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GOODLAND HAS ISSUED A BLOWING
DUST ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 5 PM MDT /6 PM CDT/ THIS
AFTERNOON TO MIDNIGHT MDT /1 AM CDT/ TONIGHT.

* PEAK WINDS...SUSTAINED NORTH TO NORTHWEST WINDS OF 30 TO 40 MPH
  WITH GUSTS TO 55 MPH ARE EXPECTED. A FEW GUSTS OVER 55 MPH CAN
  NOT BE RULED OUT.

* TIMING/DURATION...BLOWING DUST IS EXPECTED TO ENTER YUMA COUNTY
  BETWEEN 4 PM MDT AND 5 PM MDT QUICKLY MOVING SOUTH OR SOUTHEAST
  THROUGH THE REST OF THE ADVISORY AREA THROUGH MIDNIGHT MDT (1
  AM CDT).

* OTHER IMPACTS...BLOWING DUST MAY REDUCE VISIBILITIES SUDDENLY TO
  NEAR ZERO...ESPECIALLY IN AREAS WHERE PLOWED FIELDS EXIST.
  MOTORISTS SHOULD DRIVE CAREFULLY THROUGH AREAS OF LOW
  VISIBILITIES. IF YOU SEE AN ADVANCING WALL OF DUST DO NOT DRIVE
  THROUGH IT IF AT ALL POSSIBLE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A BLOWING DUST ADVISORY MEANS THAT BLOWING DUST WILL OCCASIONALLY
RESTRICT VISIBILITY TO LESS THAN ONE MILE. TRAVELERS ARE URGED TO
USE CAUTION AND BE ALERT TO RAPIDLY CHANGING VISIBILITY...
ESPECIALLY NEAR OPEN FIELDS.
