THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SEATTLE HAS ISSUED A HIGH WIND
WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM SUNDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH MONDAY
AFTERNOON.

* LOCATION...BELLINGHAM...FERNDALE...AND THE SAN JUAN ISLANDS.
  STRONGEST WINDS NEAR THE COASTLINE OF WESTERN WHATCOM COUNTY.

* TIMING...SUNDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH MONDAY AFTERNOON. STRONGEST
  WINDS ON SUNDAY NIGHT.

* WINDS...NORTHEAST FRASER OUTFLOW WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP.
  THIS WILL BRING NORTHEAST WINDS OF 30 TO 35 MPH WITH GUSTS OF 50
  MPH OR GREATER.

* IMPACTS...WINDS THIS STRONG CAN CAUSE POWER OUTAGES AND PRODUCE
  MINOR DAMAGE. WITH AIR TEMPERATURES IN THE UPPER 20S...THIS WILL
  PRODUCE WIND CHILL VALUES OF 10 TO 15 DEGREES.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A HIGH WIND WATCH MEANS THERE IS THE POTENTIAL FOR A HAZARDOUS HIGH
WIND EVENT. SUSTAINED WINDS OF AT LEAST 40 MPH...OR GUSTS OF 58 MPH
OR STRONGER MAY OCCUR. CONTINUE TO MONITOR THE LATEST FORECASTS.
