...Hot in the Inland Empire, the Mountains and Deserts through
today with gradual cooling Monday and Tuesday...

.High pressure aloft centered over southern Arizona and northwest
Mexico will continue hot weather inland through today. High
pressure will begin to weaken on Monday with cooling through the
middle of the week.

...EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM PDT
MONDAY...

* High Temperatures...114 to 120 today...then 109 to 115 Monday.

* Impacts...Those working or spending time outdoors, the
  elderly, children, and those unaccustomed to excessive heat
  will be most susceptible to dangerous heat illness.

* Outlook...Not as hot. High temperatures returning to near
  average for Wednesday into next weekend.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Young children and pets should never be left unattended in
vehicles under any circumstances. This is especially true during
warm or hot weather when car interiors can reach lethal
temperatures in a matter of minutes.
