.SYNOPSIS...Tropical Storm Jose has been declared post-tropical
as of 11 PM tonight per the National Hurricane Center. At 11 PM
the center of Post-Tropical Cyclone Jose was located near 39.5N
68.4W, or about 150 nm SE of Nantucket. It remains nearly
stationary with maximum sustained winds near 45 kt. Jose will
drift W to near 39.6N 68.7W by 8 AM EDT Fri, and to 39.5N 69.0W
by 8 PM EDT Fri, while gradually weakening. Post-Tropical Cyclone
Jose will then slowly drift back towards the E Sat and Sun while
continuing to weaken before dissipating by Mon. S to SE swell
from Hurricane Maria will impact the area Fri through Tue night.
Hurricane Maria will approach from the S Sun and Sun night, and
move to 31.2N 71.0W by 8 PM EDT Mon, and to 33N 70W by 8 PM EDT
Tue. Refer to the latest National Hurricane Center advisories for
Post-Tropical Cyclone Jose and Hurricane Maria. Otherwise, a weak
high pres ridge will persist over the S and central waters
tonight through Sat, then weaken and dissipate Sat night.
