...NWS DAMAGE SURVEY FOR 04/30/2016 THUNDERSTORM WIND EVENT...

DURING THE EARLY MORNING HOURS OF APRIL 30TH...WIND DAMAGE OCCURRED
IN OUACHITA COUNTY ON THE NORTHWEST SIDE OF CAMDEN. AFTER A STORM
SURVEY WAS CONDUCTED...IT WAS DETERMINED THAT A MICROBURST OCCURRED...
AND WINDS OF 80-95 MPH WERE PRODUCED WHICH LED TO INTENSE WIND
DAMAGE IN A CONCENTRATED AREA. MOST DAMAGE OCCURRED TO TREES WHICH
WERE UPROOTED OR SNAPPED WITH SOME CAUSING DAMAGE TO A FEW HOMES
AS THEY FELL.
