...KINX WSR-88D WILL BE TAKEN OFF-LINE FOR MAINTENANCE 11/13-20...

Beginning Monday, November 13th, the KINX WSR-88D radar operated by
the NOAA National Weather Service in Tulsa, Oklahoma will be down for
approximately seven days for the replacement of several panels on
the exterior radome. The entire radome will also be cleaned during
this time.

During the downtime, adjacent radars that provide coverage to the
region include: KSRX Fort Smith, AR; KSGF Springfield, MO; KTLX
Oklahoma City, OK; KVNX Vance AFB, OK; KICT Wichita, KS; KFWS Fort
Worth, TX; and the TDWR Broken Arrow, OK. For direct access to any of

The KINX WSR-88D is part of a network of 159 operational radars. The
Radar Operations Center in Norman, Oklahoma, provides lifecycle
management and support for all WSR-88Ds.
