SEASON AT SYRACUSE NY...

SO FAR THIS FALL THE TEMPERATURE HAS NOT FALLEN TO 32 DEGREES AT
SYRACUSE NY. THIS IS THE LATEST EVER, BREAKING THE OLD RECORD OF
NOVEMBER 12TH SET IN 2005. THE TEMPERATURE MAY FALL TO FREEZING
BEFORE MIDNIGHT TODAY BUT MOST LIKELY WILL ON THE 14TH. THE AVERAGE
FIRST DAY REACHING 32 DEGREES IN THE FALL IS OCTOBER 15TH.

THE LAST TIME IT WAS 32 DEGREES OR BELOW WAS APRIL 20TH. THIS WAS
EARLIER THAN THE AVERAGE LAST SPRING FREEZE DATE OF APRIL 29TH. THE
GROWING SEASON NOW IS AT 206 DAYS.  THIS BREAKS THE RECORD OF 204
SET IN 1931. THE THIRD LONGEST GROWING SEASON IS 200 DAYS IN 1971.
