Breezy southerly winds persisted overnight, with high clouds
keeping skies partly cloudy across western Kansas. Low temperatures
ranged from the upper 30s in northwest Kansas, to the upper 40s in
central and eastern Kansas.

An upper level low pressure trough over the Northern Plains will
move off to the east by tonight, while a second, weaker trough will
approach the Central Plains this evening. A weak surface cold front
crossing western Kansas will push into southeast Kansas and Oklahoma
tonight. Little active weather is expected with this front, but an
increasing chance of rain will occur tonight with the approach of
the upper level trough. Temperatures will be near normal today, but
drop to below normal by tomorrow.

High temperatures today will only reach the upper 50s in northwest
Kansas, with low 60s to low 70s across the rest of the state. Lows
tonight will drop into the low to upper 30s across northern Kansas,
with low 40s in central and southern Kansas.
