A large area of cool high pressure provided unseasonably cool
temperatures last night. Record lows for this morning were recorded
at Frankfort...Lexington and Louisville. The 54 degree low at
Louisville shattered the previous low for the date by 4 degrees.
Most locations dropped into the low 50s and there were even several
upper 40s reported. Several locations dropped to 49 degrees but the
coldest was 48 degrees at Corners in Breckinridge county. Sunny
skies this morning gave way to a partly cloudy early afternoon. Mid
afternoon temperatures ranged from the mid 70s in the south to the
upper 60s in the northern Bluegrass region.

Tonight will be partly cloudy with lows in the mid to upper 50s
which will continue the unseasonably cool late July weather.
Tomorrow will be partly cloudy and warmer with highs in the upper
70s to low 80s.
