STRONG LOW PRESSURE WILL MOVE ACROSS OUR REGION AND INTO MICHIGAN
OVERNIGHT. THIS LOW WILL THEN DRAG A COLD FRONT FROM WEST...TO EAST
OVERNIGHT AND THROUGH THE DAY MONDAY...BRINGING A MIX OF RAIN AND
SNOW SHOWERS AT FIRST...THEN ALL SNOW SHOWERS. PORTIONS OF NORTHWEST
AND NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS COULD SEE FROM TWO TO FIVE INCHES OF
ACCUMULATING SNOWFALL...WITH LESSER AMOUNTS ACROSS NORTHEAST
ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA. HIGHS ON MONDAY WILL OCCUR IN THE
MORNING WITH UPPER 30S ACROSS NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS AND IN THE 40S
ELSEWHERE. THE TEMPERATURES WILL THEN FALL AS THE COLD FRONT PASSES.
BY MONDAY EVENING ...TEMPERATURES WILL BE IN THE UPPER 20S TO LOWER
30S. BLUSTERY WINDS BEHIND THE COLD FRONT WILL GUST UP TO 40 MPH ON
MONDAY...CAUSING BLOWING SNOW AND REDUCED VISIBILITIES IN THE AREAS
WITH ACCUMULATING SNOW. THE BRISK WIND GUSTS WILL ALSO BRING WIND
CHILL FACTORS IN THE TEENS MONDAY EVENING. HIGH PRESSURE WILL THEN
BRING QUIET BUT COLD CONDITIONS FOR TUESDAY.
