THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A

* SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF
  EXTREME NORTHWEST IOWA
  SOUTHWEST AND CENTRAL MINNESOTA
  EASTERN SOUTH DAKOTA

* EFFECTIVE THIS SUNDAY NIGHT AND MONDAY MORNING FROM 745 PM
  UNTIL 200 AM CDT.

* PRIMARY THREATS INCLUDE...
  SCATTERED DAMAGING WIND GUSTS TO 70 MPH POSSIBLE
  ISOLATED VERY LARGE HAIL EVENTS TO 2 INCHES IN DIAMETER POSSIBLE

SUMMARY...THUNDERSTORMS WILL INCREASE IN COVERAGE/INTENSITY THIS
EVENING ALONG A COLD FRONT FROM NE SD INTO CENTRAL MN...WHERE SOME
OF THE INITIAL STORMS COULD HAVE SUPERCELL STRUCTURES WITH AN
ATTENDANT RISK FOR LARGE HAIL.  LATER THIS EVENING AND
OVERNIGHT...STORMS WILL GROW INTO A LINE...WITH OTHER STORMS
EXPECTED TO MOVE INTO E/SE SD FROM THE W.  DAMAGING WINDS WILL BE
THE PRIMARY RISK WITH THESE STORMS.

THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 65
STATUTE MILES NORTH AND SOUTH OF A LINE FROM 15 MILES SOUTHWEST
OF MITCHELL SOUTH DAKOTA TO 35 MILES NORTHEAST OF SAINT CLOUD

FAVORABLE FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN AND CLOSE TO THE WATCH
AREA. PERSONS IN THESE AREAS SHOULD BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR
THREATENING WEATHER CONDITIONS AND LISTEN FOR LATER STATEMENTS
AND POSSIBLE WARNINGS. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY
DO PRODUCE TORNADOES.
