...RISK OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING...

INCREASED INSTABILITY AND MODERATE WIND SHEAR...THANKS IN LARGE
PART TO AN UNSEASONABLY STRONG UPPER LEVEL LOW OVER SOUTHERN
CALIFORNIA...WILL HELP FUEL STRONG TO POTENTIALLY SEVERE
THUNDERSTORMS OVER MUCH OF THE AREA TODAY. THE BEST CHANCE FOR
STRONG STORMS EXISTS OVER FAR SOUTHEAST OREGON AND MUCH OF

INCH OF RAIN IN AS LITTLE AS HALF AN HOUR...ALONG WITH WIND GUSTS
TO 50 MPH...AND HAIL LESS THAN AN INCH IN DIAMETER. THE VERY
STRONGEST STORMS WILL BE CAPABLE OF EVEN LARGER HAIL...WIND GUSTS
TO 60 MPH...AND TORRENTIAL RAINFALL THAT COULD EXCEED EVEN A HALF
INCH IN LESS THAN HALF AN HOUR.
