...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SOUTHWESTERN COLBERT AND WESTERN
FRANKLIN COUNTIES UNTIL 530 PM CDT...

At 507 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a line of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from 7 miles southwest of
Cherokee to near Hackleburg. Movement was northwest at 15 mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Red Bay, Belgreen, Vina, Hodges, Atwood, Allsboro, Duketon, Dempsey,
Pogo and Cedar Creek Reservoir.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Very heavy rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike several away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
