AT 1118 AM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE METEOROLOGISTS WERE
CLOSELY MONITORING A LARGE AREA OF THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING
TORRENTIAL RAINFALL ALONG THE MISSISSIPPI COAST AND DRIFTING
SOUTHWEST INTO EXTREME EASTERN LOUISIANA.

SHOULD HEAVY RAINS ONSET...FLASH FLOODING COULD RESULT RATHER
QUICKLY IN THE EARLY AFTERNOON HOURS. A FLASH FLOOD WATCH IS IN
EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT. STAY TUNED TO LOCAL NEWS AND WEATHER OUTLETS
