SALLE...OUACHITA AND WINN PARISHES UNTIL 730 AM CDT...

At 628 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorms
extending from near Downsville stretching back southwest to near
Chatham and Winnfield to Atlanta and Montgomery, moving southeast
at 45 mph.

Strong winds of 40 to 50 mph will be possible with these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Monroe, Claiborne, West Monroe, Winnfield, Columbia, Swartz,
Brownsville-Bawcom, Brownsville-Bawcomville, Jena, Richwood,
Sterlington, Colfax, Olla, Clarks, Montgomery, Grayson, Midway,
Urania, Chatham and Pollock.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
