The National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Southeastern Smith County in northeastern Texas...
  Northwestern Rusk County in northeastern Texas...
  Northeastern Cherokee County in northeastern Texas...

* Until 615 PM CDT

* At 527 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Mixon, or 8
  miles north of Jacksonville, moving east at 20 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Jacksonville, Overton, Bullard, Troup, New London, Arp, Mount
  Selman, Mixon, Turnertown, Joinerville, Concord and Brachfield.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will send your report to the National Weather Service
office in Shreveport.

This thunderstorm is capable of producing all types of severe weather
including large hail, destructive straight line winds and possibly
even a tornado. Move quickly to a safe shelter such as an interior
room, a bathroom, closet or basement.
