AREA SYNOPSIS
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DODGE CITY KS
1215 PM CDT SAT JUL 15 2017

A WEAK UPPER DISTURBANCES WILL MOVE EAST ACROSS THE WESTERN HIGH
PLAINS TODAY. WITH HIGH DEW POINTS, SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL
BE POSSIBLE ACROSS WEST CENTRAL AND PORTIONS OF SOUTHWEST KANSAS
LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING. THE MAIN THREAT WILL BE LOCALLY
HEAVY RAINFALL, INCREASING THE POTENTIAL FOR FLOODING IN LOW LYING
AREAS AND PONDING ON ROADWAYS. STRONGER STORMS WILL BE CAPABLE OF
PRODUCING SMALL HAIL AND GUSTY WINDS UP TO 50 MPH.
